From TU 4th September 2010

Dear David, Mary, Emily and family, Gail and I wish to express our sincere sympathy to all of you. We have such wonderful memories of Chris and your entire family. When we moved to Delmar David was in the fourth grade and became friends with Chris as they shared their love of running. Chris was a true inspiration to David and encouraged him in so many ways. David needed someone like Chris to be his friend when he moved from Texas as it is always hard to move and leave all of your friends behind. David was shy and unsure of himself when we came to Delmar and his friendship with Chris and being selected to run on the cross country team and track team made David feel that he "belonged" It gave David a sense of his own identity and a close circle of friends where he could excel. We have such good memories of Chris and later his brothers stopping by 8 Windsor Court to meet David and go out for a run together. Gail and I are very sad today and want you to know how much we liked Chris and what he meant to David. May God bless you and keep you, lift up His countenance upon you and give you His peace. Grace & Peace, Reed & Gail Harvey Roswell, Georgia
