From TU 4th September 2010

We were so sorry to hear of Chris' passing. Chris was my youngest daughter, Madeleine's, first swim teacher at the town park when she was 3 years old in the Tiny Tots program. Madeleine absolutely adored Chris and he made each session so comfortable for her & she really learned how to swim at age 3 because of Chris. Now when I consider his age at the time, I'm astonished. He must have only been 12 or 13?? He certainly seemed beyond his years and even tonight, Maddie who remembers those lessons so clearly with Chris, thought he was 20!! From a now 19 year old perspective. Bottom line is he was so polite, kind, and warm to Maddie. I know I told Mary many times how much Maddie loved & adored Chris. She was completley smitten with him. When you meet a young person like that in your life who is so amazing, you never forget them. I never forgot Chris...and remembered him last year when Maddie graduated from Bethlehem as one of her special moments living in this town...having him as an instructor and leader. I could tell at that young age he was going to be a great person. My whole family extends our sympathy to you all at this very sad time. I will always remember him and never forget that gentle care and kindness he had shown to Madeleine. Mary & Dave, our prayers will be with you and your family.
